RIFF Archive
As a private institution REAKTOR is dedicated to presenting and enabling the arts in a transdisciplinary approach. Together with music and fine arts, film is at the core of REAKTOR’s activities.
Once a year RIFF searches for unique cinematographic positions from a divers spectrum of contexts. Three awards honour filmmakers in fundamental elements of film - script, cut and direction.
RIFF is not limiting the jury’s selection to certain genres or styles, but understands itself as an invitation to the Austrian audience to explore extraordinary films, that otherwise might not have found their way into Austrian theatres.
The first two editions of RIFF were dedicated to Indian arthouse films. Due to a growing interest of filmmakers from all over the world RIFF transformed from a festival focused on Indian film to the REAKTOR International Film Festival.
